HOW TO CREATE A KRAKEN ACCOUNT

  1. Visit kraken.com
  2. Click on "Get Started" or "Create Account" on the top right-hand corner of your screen.
  3. You'll be redirected to the "Create your account" page, where you have to enter your email address, username, and password. Make sure to tick the agree checkbox.
  4. Check the agree box after reading the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Then click the "Sign Up" button.
  5. You'll receive an activation email in your inbox, which contains an activation key.
  6. Activate your account by clicking the link in the email.
  7. Confirm the password from the verification screen.
  8. Click the "Activate Account" button.

Before you sign up

Kraken is an exchange account in your own name, separate from PlayGames2026. Having these ready makes the sign-up a few minutes rather than a few days.

  • An email address you control and can open right away — activation is a link sent to it.
  • Your legal name and date of birth as printed on your identity document. A nickname here means a failed check later.
  • A photo of that document, plus a proof of address if Kraken asks for one in your country.
  • A password you do not use anywhere else, and two-factor authentication switched on as soon as the account exists.

Kraken sets its own limits, fees and country availability, and changes them from time to time. Check the current terms on their site before you commit to an amount.

What to expect when buying

The purchase itself is quick; the waiting happens around it.

  • A first deposit on a new exchange account can be held for review. Plan for it rather than being surprised by it.
  • Buy slightly more than you intend to send — the network fee comes out of the amount that leaves the exchange.
  • Send a small test amount first when you use a new address. A transfer to a wrong address cannot be reversed by anyone.
  • A transfer is final once the network confirms it. Neither Kraken nor we can call it back.

HOW TO BUY BITCOIN ON KRAKEN

  1. Sign in to your verified Kraken account.
  2. Deposit funds into your account.
  3. Return to your trading dashboard and click the "Buy" button located in the "Buy Cryptocurrency" section.
  4. Insert the amount of bitcoin you want to purchase.
  5. Confirm the order.
  6. Click on "Submit Order".

HOW TO RECEIVE BITCOIN ON KRAKEN

  1. Sign in to your Kraken account.
  2. Search for "Funding" located on top of the page.
  3. Click the "Deposit" tab next to the Bitcoin.
  4. Click on "Deposit" from the newly open window to see your Bitcoin address.
  5. Carefully read the instructions and click on the acknowledgment.
  6. If this is your first time, click on "Generate New Address" button.
  7. Copy the address and send it to the sender.

HOW TO SEND BITCOIN TO KRAKEN FUTURES

  1. Sign in to your Kraken account.
  2. Search for the "Funding" tab.
  3. Click the "Transfer" button for the cryptocurrency you want to transfer to Kraken Futures (in this case, Bitcoin).
  4. Enter the amount you want to send.
  5. Click the "Review Transfer" button. After you click on the "Confirm Transfer" button.
  6. You'll get a notification at the bottom of the page confirming the transfer's success.
